About Our Associates


Ms. Kelli Moriarty

Ms. Kelli Moriarty, B.A., M.A.S.P. is a Registered School Psychologist with more than 15 years' experience in the field of Psychology. She is registered with the Nova Scotia Board of Examiners in Psychology (NSBEP) and a Member of the Association of Psychologists of Nova Scotia (APNS). Kelli has a Bachelor of Arts with a specialization in Psychology and a Master of Arts with a specialization in School Psychology from Mount Saint Vincent University. Kelli is employed in private practice and with the Halifax Regional Centre for Education (HRCE). She is active in the training and supervision of students and psychologists on the candidate register.

Kelli conducts psychoeducational assessments with children, teens and young adults. She offers sessions for demystification of Learning Disabilities (LD) and Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorders (ADHD) as well as group and individual treatment for social skills deficits. Kelli also offers community presentations and educational workshops. She is particularly interested in the ways in which Learning Disabilities and ADHD may lead to difficulties and frustrations both at school and at home. Kelli offers flexible hours at Corkum & Associates including after school, evening and weekend appointments.



Laura Smith


Ms. Laura Smith, B.Sc., M.Sc. is a Psychologist (Candidate Register) who is registered with the Nova Scotia Board of Examiners in Psychology (NSBEP).  Laura has a Bachelor of Science with specialization in Psychology from Mount Saint Vincent University and a Master of Science with a specialization in Clinical Psychology from Acadia University.  As part of her Master's degree Laura completed a year of hands-on clinical training under the supervision and guidance of Dr. Corkum and we are so happy she agreed to join our team.


Laura provides a variety of services for children, teens and adults.  She conducts psychoeducational assessments, diagnostic assessments and she offers therapy for a variety of issues including: anxiety, mood, behaviour, and general parenting.  She is able to diagnose conditions such as Learning Disabilities, ADHD, Anxiety Disorders and Depression and she customizes recommendations and treatment plans to each individual's profile.  


Laura works Tuesday through Friday at Corkum & Associates and she is currently accepting new clients.   



Mr. Krishan Hayre


Mr. Krishan Hayre, B.A., M.A.S.P. is a Psychologist (Candidate Register) w​ho is registered with the Nova Scotia Board of Examiners in Psychology.  Krishan has a Bachelor of Arts with a specialization in Psychology and a Master of Arts with a specialization in School Psychology from Mount Saint Vincent University.  Krishan is employed in private practice and with the Halifax Regional Centre for Education (HRCE).


Krishan conducts psychoeducational assessments with children, teens and young adults.  He also offers follow-up services for clients with issues such as emotional regulation, behavioural problems and parenting.  Krishan is able to provide educational testing in both English and French (as needed).  


Krishan works primarily on Fridays at Corkum & Associates although he does have some flexibility in his schedule.  He is currently taking new clients.
